  • Install Instructions 

This manual assumes that your operating system (e.g. : Fedora Core 3) has already been configured for Indian Languages and all the open type fonts distributed by C-DAC have been installed.
Please install the OT Fonts from C-DAC OT-Fonts Folder. Click here for more information. 


1) Install Java
--------------------
1. Install Java 1.5 Runtime Environment on your machine from the executables given in CD. 
2. Copy the 'fontconfig.properties' files from the Java folder on the CD to 'lib' directory under Java install directory
3. Under Fedora Core 3 copy the GIST-TMOTChanakya Font from the CD to 'lib/fonts' directory under Java Install directory.

                

2) Install OpenOffice.org
-----------------------------------

1. Extract the TeluguLinuxSoftware.tar.gz
2. This will create a folder called 'normal'
3. On Linux give read, write and execute permissions to all the files in normal folder by using command 'chmod 700 normal/*'
4. Go to normal directory and run './run.sh'

      1. Processor : Intel Celeron, P3 or P4
      2. RAM : Minimum 128 MB, 256 MB Recommended
      3. Hard Disk : Minimum 2 GB ( Installation needs 300MB )
      4. OS : Fedora Core 3
      5. Desktop Environment : GNOME 2.8
      6. JRE : jre 1.5
